Biography
Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Mai Nguyen is a painter celebrated for her bold use of color and dynamic compositions. She studied fine art at the Hanoi University of Fine Arts, where she developed a practice rooted in both traditional techniques and contemporary expression.
Nguyen’s canvases are a celebration of life, energy and movement. Using vivid hues - fiery reds, electric blues, radiant yellows - she builds layers of intensity that feel at once spontaneous and meticulously constructed. Her paintings often pulse with vitality, reflecting the rhythms of urban life, cultural memory, and personal emotion.
In contrast to artists who work with restraint, Nguyen embraces abundance and exuberance, transforming her canvases into fields of pure vitality. Each work is an invitation to experience color as emotion. Raw, immediate and unfiltered.
Her art has been exhibited in Saigon, Paris, and New York, attracting collectors drawn to its fearless spirit and modern sophistication. Now living and working in Paris, she continues to expand her practice, creating works that embody both the liveliness of the present and the timeless power of color.
