Biography
Born in Lyon, France, Fabienne Laurent is a painter and illustrator whose work captures the rhythm and nostalgia of urban life. Educated at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, she developed a practice rooted in both draftsmanship and contemporary visual culture, blending traditional drawing with a distinctly modern sensibility.
Laurent’s art is defined by its urban cool and understated elegance, she paints and sketches the details of modern cityscapes, cafés, bicycles, storefronts, and fleeting street moments with a tone that is both nostalgic and effortlessly current. Her palette often combines muted earth tones with sharp graphic accents, giving her work a hipster edge wrapped in timeless charm.
Exhibited in Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam, her pieces resonate with collectors drawn to works that embody both memory and modernity. Laurent’s practice serves as a reminder that even in the fast pace of contemporary city life, there are small, poetic details worth slowing down for.
Now based in Berlin, she continues to create paintings and drawings that celebrate the soul of the modern city, a fusion of the past’s romance with today’s aesthetic clarity.
